The project brief for this dining room that seats up to 80 people in a retirement village, “we were to bring it out of the 1990s and into the NOW”, to create a beautiful setting, fresh and light with a touch of sophistication. On reveal day of the new dining room it was re-opened to the residents with the cutting of the ribbon, the joy and wonderment on their faces is just as they say “priceless” and I walk away feeling quite chuffed that interior designing is not just about furniture/colour and finishes but the joy it brings on a daily basis in people’s lives.
