MARTHA COVE MARINA – NEW BUILD-FAMILY MODERN HOME – WITH CULTURAL INFLUENCES
When I was approach by the client to come on board with this architectural designed home, it was at frame stage this was a good time for me to have some influence on internal design such as adding bulkheads, lighting, cabinetry design and placement.
In this early stage it is a great benefit to develop a relationship with the builder and the client and taking into consideration our clients cultural background.
Our client’s project began in the early stages of the development of Martha Cove Marina, which has since evolved into the amazing community hub it is today.
From the initial concept through to the finer details, we were involved in every aspect of the design. This included designing all cabinetry throughout the home, right through to the front fence.
We also sourced and commissioned custom-made furniture, carefully selecting the right fabrics, colours and textures to complement each individual space.
A thoughtful approach was taken to ensure the design reflected the client’s personality and lifestyle, while incorporating treasured pieces they wished to retain.
Some areas of the home also drew inspiration from cultural influences, adding further depth, character and a unique sense of identity to the overall design.
Personalising each room to suit the whole family was the key.
The client was fantastic to work with over the duration of the whole project which including overview of plans, custom made furniture, soft furnishings, artwork, pendants etc
